The famous Nagaur fair is known for the cattle
tradesmen with colorful turbans and long mustaches that come there with
their fine breed of camels, horses, cows, and bullocks. Especially, the
bullocks of the Nagaur fair are considered to be the fittest. The other
most important trading commodity, Nagaur Fair is famous for, is its
'Mirchi Bazaar' (Red chilli market). However, there are some quality
wooden items, iron crafts and leather accessories for the tourists too.
The festival features games such as tug of war, camel races, cock
fights and many more along with the echoing melodious songs of the
desert folk musicians who give wonderful performances in the picturesque
backdrop of the setting sun.
